WORKPLACE INJURY AND ILLNESS PREVENTION PLAN <br />Forward Landfill <br />Manteca, California <br />1.0 POLICY <br />Forward Landfill ("Forward") will institute and administer a <br />comprehensive and continuous occupational Injury and Illness <br />Prevention Plan (IIPP) for all employees. The health and safety <br />of individual employee, whether in the field, plant or office <br />takes precedence over all other concerns.. Manag4ment's goal is <br />to prevent accidents; to reduce personal injury and occupational <br />illness; and to comply with all safety and health standards. <br />2.0 RESPONSIBILITY <br />The IIPP administrator, Lawrence 'Butch' Stefani, has the <br />authority and r s-ponsibility _for implementIng the . rovision:,'Of <br />qW this program for Forward. All managers and supervisors are <br />responsible for implementing and maintaining the IIPP in their <br />work areas and for answering questions about the IIPP. A copy of <br />this IIPP is available from each manager and supervisor. <br />3.0 EMPLOYEE COMPLIANCE <br />Management is responsible for ensuring that all safety and health <br />policies and procedures are clearly communicated and understood <br />"by all employees'. Managers and supervisors are expected to <br />enforce the rules fairly and uniformly. <br />All employees are responsible for using safe work practice, for <br />following all directives, policies and procedures, and for <br />assisting in maintaining a safe work environment. <br />The system of ensuring that all workers comply with safe work <br />practices includes the following procedures: <br />1. Informing workers of the provisions of the IIPP; <br />0 2. Evaluating the safety performance of all workers; <br />WIIP-1 <br />
