P_j <br />Bromoform <br />Bromoform is a colorless to yellow liquid with an odor similar to <br />chloroform. <br />Short-term exposure to bormoform can cause irritation of the eyes, <br />nose, and throat. Swallowing bromoform may also cause dizziness, <br />disorientation, slurred speach, unconsciousness, and death. <br />Bromoform is classified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency <br />as a Group D, not classifiable due to inadequate or no evidence, <br />human carcinogen. <br />The PEL for bromoform is 0.5 ppm in air. <br />0 9 <br />
