Ethyl Ether <br />Ethyl ether is a colorless liquid with a characteristic, sweet <br />ether odor. <br />Short-term exposure to ethyl ether can cause irritation of the <br />eyes, nose and throat. It can also cause dizziness, drowsiness, <br />unconciousness, and death. <br />The PEL for ethyl ether is 400 ppm in air and the STEL is 500 ppm <br />in air. <br />33 <br />
