" U1 M <br />a -*.In kg <br />Shredded Greenwaste <br />The sloped area test plot (Test Plot #1) was constructed first (10/11/06), with <br />placement and measurement proceeding smoothly according to plan. The test plot <br />layout is shown on Figure 1 and the results are as follows: <br />Average thickness: 1.02' <br />Area of plot: 2,500 square feet <br />Volume of material: 2,550 cubic feet <br />Weight of material: 68,100 pounds <br />Density of material: 26.71 pounds/cubic foot or 721.1 pounds/cubic yard <br />Construction of the level deck area test plot for shredded greenwaste (Test Plot #5) <br />was completed without incident on 10/12/06. The layout for this test plot is <br />presented in Figure 2, and the results are as follows: <br />Average thickness: 1.26' <br />Area of plot: 2,500 square feet <br />Volume of material: 3,150 cubic feet <br />Weight of material: 97,000 pounds <br />Density of material: 30.79 pounds/cubic foot or 831.4 pounds/cubic yard <br />A sample of shredded greenwaste was collected from the stockpile on October 12, <br />and was subsequently tested for moisture content at a compost laboratory. <br />Overall density for shredded greenwaste as tested in this program (Test Plots #1 and <br />#5) are: 28.75 pounds/cubic foot or 776.3 pounds/cubic yard. <br />2-1 BRYAN A.
