Toxaphene <br />Toxaphene, also called chlorinated camphene, is a waxy, amber - <br />colored solid with a mild, turpentine -like odor. <br />Exposure to toxaphene may cause nausea, mental confusion, agita- <br />tion, involuntary trembling, convulsions, and unconsciousness. <br />Skin irritation may result from skin contact; moderately toxic <br />through dermal absorption. <br />The PEL for toxaphene is 0.5 mg/m3. <br />• <br />0 54 <br />
