(See Attachment No. 1), which is located within the same region as the Forward Landfill. The majority of permanent drainage control system features will be in-place at closure, including the perimeter channels, basins, and other features not over refuse. (1) Includes all drainage control system features over waste within the 187.6 -acre closure area (i.e., downdrains, inlets, open channels, outlets, rip -rap, etc.). (2) Cost assumes placement of additional perimeter drainage channel along the edge of refuse as part of the 187.6 -acre closure area over 50% of the total possible linear feet surrounding the area or 4,096 If (square root of total area, 4,196,248 sq ft = 2,048 x 2 sides = 4,096 If) . (3) Cost assumes placement of 4 downdrains (including inlets and outlets) along 4,096 If of slope over a 187.6 -acre area, approximately one every 1,000 If, with each downdrain approximately 230 If from top of slope to bottom (4 x 230 If = 920 If of 24 -inch HDPE pipe).
