ANCHOR TRENCH <br /> WMU FU-03,FORWARD INC.LANDFILL <br /> PROBLEM: <br /> Size the anchor trench for the geosynthetics in WMU FU-03. <br /> SUMMARY: <br /> 1. The anchor trench for WMU FU-03 is similar to WMU D-00,D-01,and D-02. The anchor trench <br /> calculations for these WMUs are therefore generally valid for WMU FU-03. <br /> 2. The anchor trench shall be set back from the crest of the slope a minimum of 7 ft(runout length) and <br /> shall be a minimum of 3 ft deep and 3 ft wide. A 3-ft thick soil layer shall be placed over the runout <br /> length based on permit requirements. <br /> 3. The minimum wide width tensile strength of the geocomposite drainage net shall be 58 lb/inch. <br /> 4. No equipment allowed on the slope. <br />
