Sept 30,2003 Tuesday General Contractor: Liner Contractor: Project Engineer: Sukut Construction GSE General Foreman: Liner Superintendent: Other: Jim Hasal Source and Description of Fill Material: Weather: CQA Technician: On site native, light brown silty CLAYWarm, clear and Ken Davila wind Equipment on site: 7 1-D6 dozer, 1-water truc 1-D8 dozer,2-633 scra ers, 1- 16G blade NOTES(Describe work completed during the day,any problems and their solutions): Arrived on site for testing and observations at the location listed above. Sukut Construction began placing fill along the access road to the FU-03 refuse cell from the scale house west. The blade continued cutting the floor of the refuse cell and the D6 cut the west slope of the cell with the scraper hauling the cut material to the haul road fill area. The D8 dozer applied compactive effort along with the scrapers in the fill area. Seven(7)nuclear moisture density tests were performed at random locations and elevations on the native fill.® All tests passed specification in density and in moisture content. One(1)sample was obtained for moisture content comparison with the nuclear gauge on field density test number sixty-nine(69). The sample was placed into the oven and will be calculated tomorrow. The on site foreman was verbally informed of the test results. Other on site laboratory testing included an Atterberg limits test on sample CL-5,which was performed in the late morning. The sample was placed into the oven for overnight moisture content drying.
