This memorandum <br /> exploration, laboratory testing, and engineering analyses. <br /> Purpose and Scope <br /> The purpose of this technical memorandum is to present the results of the stability and <br /> settlement analyses and to provide geotechnical recommendations and considerations for the <br /> proposed Forward Landfill Extension project. The scope of work performed for this project <br /> included the following:. <br /> Review available geotechnical and geologic information in the vicinity of the <br /> site <br /> • A drilling exploration program consisting of four soil borings <br /> • Laboratory testing including strength, consolidation, and index testing on <br /> selected samples recovered from the borings <br /> Engineering analyses (based on the field exploration and laboratory testing) to <br /> evaluate the static and dynamic stability of the proposed landfill extension, and <br /> to estimate foundation settlement under additional waste fill loads <br /> n <br />
