AMW-5 (770 umhos/cm) is the lowest value observed at that well since March 2001. The second
quarter 2006 field specific conductance value at AMW-10 (970 umhos/cm) is comparable to
values observed at that well consistently since February 2005. The specific conductance value at
AMW-1 and AMW-5 during the second quarter 2006 is below the value observed at background
well AMW-2 (1,500 umhos/cm).
The second quarter 2006 concentration of sulfate at AMW-5 (74 mg/L) is comparable to
concentrations observed at that well intermittently since July 2001, and is well below the National
Secondary Drinking Water Standard (250 mg/L). The second quarter 2006 concentration of
sulfate at AMW-10 (65 mg/L) is comparable to concentrations observed at that well
intermittently since September 1994. The sulfate concentration at both AMW-5 and AMW-10 is
below the concentration observed in background well AMW-2 (110 mg/L). The second quarter
2006 concentration of total dissolved solids (TDS) at AMW-5 (710 mg/L) is comparable to
concentrations observed at that well since July 2001. The total dissolved solids concentration at
AMW-5 during the second quarter 2006 is below the concentration observed in background well
AMW-2 (980 mg/L).
Sen's Slope analysis identified decreasing trends in the following inorganic parameters: arsenic at
AMW-3, barium at AMW-3, calcium at AMW-4, chloride at AMW-1, AMW-4, and AMW-11,
magnesium at AMW-4 and AMW-11, nitrate at AMW-1, field pH at AMW-1 and AMW-3,
potassium at AMW-4, strontium at AMW-4, sulfate at AMW-1, field temperature at AMW-11,
total dissolved solids (TDS) at AMW-11, and field turbidity at AMW4. The second quarter
2006 field pH value at AMW-1 (6.9) is comparable to pH values observed at that well since
March 2003. The second quarter 2006 field pH value at AMW-3 (7.2) is comparable to pH
values observed at that well since August 2003. The second quarter 2006 field pH values at
AMW-1 and AMW-3 are both within the National Secondary Drinking Water Standard range
(6.5-8.5).
The following organic parameters exhibited an increasing trend according to the Sen's Slope
analysis: cis-1,2-dichloroethene at AMW-1 and AMW-10, trichloroethene at AMW-10, and vinyl
chloride at AMW-l.
The second quarter 2006 concentration of cis-l,2-dichloroethene at AMW-1 (0.50 ug/L) is
comparable to concentrations observed intermittently at that well since October 2001. The
second quarter 2006 concentration of cis-1,2-dichloroethene at AMW-10 (8.1 ug/L) is higher than
concentrations previously observed at that well. The concentration of cis-l,2-dichloroethene at
both AMW-1 and AMW-10 is well below the National Primary Drinking Water Standard (70
ug/L). The second quarter 2006 concentration of trichloroethene at AMW-10 (5.2 ug/L) is the
lowest concentration observed at AMW-10 since May 2001. The second quarter 2006
concentration of vinyl chloride at AMW-1 (0.57 ug/L) is comparable to concentrations observed
at that well intermittently since October 2001, and is below the National Primary Drinking Water
Standard (2 ug/L).
Sen's Slope analysis identified decreasing trends in the following organic parameters: cis-1,2-
dichloroethene at AMW-11, dichlorodifluoromethane at AMW-1 and AMW-11,
tetrachloroethene at AMW-11, and trichlorofluoromethane at AMW-10 and AMW-11.
n
