Second r 2006 Groundwater Treatment <br /> Facility Monitoring <br /> Forward fill WDR Order No. 115-2003-0080 <br /> 1.0 Summary <br /> This Second Quarter 2006 Monitoring Report for the Forward Incorporated (Forward) <br /> Landfill Groundwater Treatment Facility (GTF)presents the monitoring results for influent <br /> and effluent. This report was prepared as stipulated by the Central Valley Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board(CV Water Board)Waste Discharge Requirements (WDR)Order <br /> No.R5-2003-0080,which was adopted on April 25,2003. <br /> Following review of the information presented in this document,the following conclusions <br /> have been made: <br /> • The GTF operated for 1,184 hours between March 30 and June 30,2006,at 53.8 percent <br /> uptime,and treated 11.620 million gallons of groundwater.During this period,the GTF <br /> removed approximately 1.4 pounds of volatile organic compounds(VOC). <br /> • During second quarter 2006,the effluent samples collected in April,May,and June met <br /> WDR Order No.R5-2003-0080 for VOCs. No VOCs were detected. <br /> ® Radio controls were installed from May 31 to June 2,2006,at the GTF main control panel <br /> and at both extraction wells (EW).The radio units were installed to replace the existing <br /> buried control wires for both EW-1 and EW-2,and to restore automatic operation of <br /> EW-2.The radio controls were successfully tested on June 2,2006,and the GTF was <br /> restarted with both wells operating in automatic mode.The GTF operated at 100 percent <br /> uptime between June 2 and June 30,2006. <br /> 1 <br /> 2.0 Operational Summary <br /> The GTF operated for 1,184 hours between March 30 and June 30,2006,at 53.8 percent <br /> uptime,and treated 11.620 million gallons of groundwater at an average flow rate of <br /> 164 gallons per minute,or 0.236 million gallon per day.During this period,the GTF <br /> removed approximately 1.4 pounds of VOCs.Table 1 presents the monthly average effluent <br /> flow rates in gallons per day. <br /> RDD/062060008(CAH3547.DOC) t <br />
