SECOND QUARTER 2006 GROUNDWATER TREATMENT FACILITY MONITORING REPORT
FORWARD LANDFILL WDR ORDER NO.135-200330080
3.0 Influent and Effluent Monitoring
Under WDR Order No.R5-2003-0080,effluent samples are analyzed as follows:
• Monthly for pH,specific conductivity,and VOCs
• Quarterly for total dissolved solids
• Annually for dissolved inorganics
All parameters other than dissolved inorganics were analyzed during second quarter 2006.
Figure 1 shows the effluent monitoring location.Table 2 presents the results of the effluent
monitoring performed during second quarter 2006.Appendix A contains the effluent
monitoring field sampling logs and laboratory results for second quarter 2006.
The current WDRs stipulate that the concentration limit for VOCs in the effluent is
nondetect. No VOCs were detected in the GTF effluent samples collected during second
quarter 2006.
TABLE 2
Effluent Monitoring Results
Forward Landfill Groundwater Treatment Facility Monitoring Report, Second Quarter 2006
Analysis Date Parameters Units Results
Field Parameters'
4/26/06 pH pH units 7.6
Conductivity µmhos/cm 525
5/11/06 pH pH units 7.5
Conductivity µmhos/cm 484
6/3/06 pH pH units 7.8
Conductivity µmhos/cm 660
Laboratory Analyses°
4/26/06` All VOCs pg/L Nondetect
5/11/06` All VOCs pg/L Nondetect
Total Dissolved Solids milligrams per liter 432
6/3/06° All VOCs µg/L Nondetect
'Field parameters were analyzed using a calibrated Horiba U-10 water quality meter.
bVOCs were analyzed using U.S. Environmental Protection Agency(EPA)Method SW8260B.Total dissolved
solids were analyzed using EPA Method 160.1.
`Only EW-1 was operational when this sample was collected.
°Both extraction wells were operational when this sample was collected.
Notes:
pg/L = micrograms per liter
µmhos/cm = micromhos per centimeter
RDD/062060D08(CAH3547.DOC) 3
