Guinn
Construction continued using the 627 scrapers to haul clay from the northern cut area throughout the day.
One dozer, one water truck and the sheepsfoot roller also worked on the north slope fill area. The other
water trucks moisture conditioned the haul roads and the cut area behind the tractor with discs. One scraper,
®the loader, blade and one dozer began removing the south berm of the upper portion of the FU -05 cell.
Twenty (20) nuclear moisture density tests were performed at random locations and elevations on the
north slope fill area. All but one test passed the specified values in density and moisture content and the on
site foreman was verbally informed of the test results. The failing test area was later retested with passing
results. Montie C. (Vector) was on site to perform onsite BAT permeability testing on the west slope.
A brief meeting was held in the southern cut area to discuss the quality of the material there. The scrapers
were still hauling from the northern area until testing can confirm the quality and therefore, usability.
0
4/23/03, Rev. 0 1 of 1
C-2
Reviewed By:
