WMU FU-06 November 2006 <br /> Forward Landfill Project No.021605.07 <br /> are included in various appendices of this report. Documentation of the <br /> conformance tests for the geosynthetic components is also presented. <br /> 3.3 Design Modifications <br /> During the construction of WMU FU-06, modifications to the contract drawings and <br /> specifications occurred. The approved modifications during construction of WMU <br /> FU-06 are as follows: <br /> Grain Size for the Gravel Drainage Materials: The particle size for the drainage <br /> gravels was modified by the Design Engineer to allow for particles greater than the <br /> specified 3/8-inch, and was modified to 3/4-inch. <br /> 3.4 Final Report <br /> Preparation of this final report documenting project CQA activities was the final <br /> task of the CQA program for the Forward Landfill, WMU FU-06 composite liner <br /> system construction project. This report includes discussions of the findings and <br /> observations of the on-site CQA personnel regarding the activities identified above. <br /> The documentation of construction and CQA activities are presented on the field <br /> logs prepared by the CQA personnel, which are included as appendices to this final <br /> report. Also presented in the appendices of this final report are the results of <br /> laboratory conformance tests conducted on earthworks and geosynthetic materials. <br /> The report contains a discussion of the CQA procedures performed by Vector, a <br /> discussion of the construction activities, and a description of the composite liner <br /> system components observed and tested by Vector. . <br /> • Photographic documentation of this project was maintained by Vector <br /> throughout the construction period; select photos are presented in <br /> Appendix A. <br /> • Daily field reports of CQA activities are included in Appendix B. <br /> • Earthworks documentation is included in Appendices C through G. <br /> Vector Engineering, Inc. • 143E Spring Hill Drive•Grass Valley,CA 95945•(530)272-2448 <br /> -6- <br />
