1. Deliver materials to the site only after the QA/QC CONSULTANT accepts <br />required submittals. <br />2. Separate damaged rolls from undamaged rolls and store at locations <br />designated by the OWNER until proper disposition of material is determined <br />by the QA/QC CONSULTANT and the OWNER. <br />3. The GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for damage to <br />the Geocomposite during delivery, even if the rolls are unloaded by the <br />EARTHWORK CONTRACTOR. The QA/QC CONSULTANT will <br />determine damage. <br />4. Deliver in rolls, do not fold. <br />C. Storage on Site: <br />1. Store Geocomposite rolls in the space allocated by the OWNER. <br />2. Store Geocomposite rolls to protect from puncture, dirt, grease, water, <br />moisture, mud, mechanical abrasions, excessive heat or other damage. <br />3. Store Geocomposite rolls on prepared surface (not on wooden pallets). <br />4. Stack Geocomposite rolls no more than three rolls high. <br />D. Handling on Site: <br />1. Use appropriate handling equipment to load, move, and deploy Geocomposite <br />rolls. Appropriate handling equipment includes cloth chokers and spreader <br />bars for loading, and spreader and roll bars for deployment. Dragging panels <br />on ground surface will not be permitted. <br />2. Do not fold Geocomposite; folded material will be rejected. <br />3. The GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR is responsible for off-loading, <br />storage, and transporting material from storage area to installation site. <br />PART 2 PRODUCTS <br />2.1 GENERAL <br />A. Geocomposite with a nonwoven geotextile bonded to one side of the geonet. The <br />geonet side shall be placed facing down. <br />2.2 GEOCOMPOSITE PROPERTIES <br />A. The GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR shall furnish geocomposites having <br />properties that comply with the required property values shown in Table 02774-1. <br />The GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR shall provide results of tests performed <br />using the procedures listed in Table 02774-1, as well as certification that the <br />materials meet or exceed the specified values. <br />B. In addition to the property values listed in Table 02774-1, the Geocomposites shall: <br />1. Retain their structure during handling, placement, and long-term service. <br />2. Be capable of withstanding outdoor exposure for a minimum of 15 days with <br />no measurable deterioration. <br />3.
