C <br />SECTION 02777 <br />GEOSYNTHETIC CLAY LINER (GCL) <br />1.1 WORK INCLUDED <br />A. This section covers the Work necessary to furnish and install Geosynthetic Clay <br />Liner (GCL) on the side slopes of WMU FU -06, complete. <br />B. The GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR shall furnish all labor, supervision, <br />tools, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the GCL installation <br />including, but not limited to, submittals, panel layout, seaming, temporary <br />anchorage, and all necessary and incidental items required to complete the Work <br />in accordance with these Specifications and the Construction Drawings. The <br />EARTHWORK CONTRACTOR will excavate and backfill anchor trenches. The <br />EARTHWORK CONTRACTOR will unload the GCL if the GEOSYNTHETICS <br />CONTRACTOR is not onsite. <br />C. The GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR shall be prepared to install the GCL <br />sequentially with the subgrade preparation, geomembrane installation, placement of <br />soil cover materials, and installation of the other components of the liner system. <br />D. Prior to, during, and after installation, GCL shall not be allowed to hydrate and/or <br />come in contact with water. <br />1.2 REFERENCES <br />A.
