For each analysis; the tensile strains were calculated from the deformed spacing betty, <br />adjacent grid points in the surface against the initial grid spacing. A characteristic curve of <br />maximum tensile strains versus ratio of void width (L.) to controlled fill thickness r— <br />developed from the analyses' results.
