}
separate constant flow calibration readings will be obtained both before and after sampling.
Should the flow rate change by more than 5 percent during the sampling period, the average of
the pre- and post-calibration rates will be used to calculate the total sample volume.
3.4 Sample Collection
The sampling pump will provide a non-fluctuating air-flow through the filter, and will maintain
the initial volume flow-rate through the filter to within ±10 percent throughout the sampling
period. The mean value of these flow-rate measurements will be used to calculate the total air
volume sampled. The sampling data will be recorded on a log sheet prior to the start of the test
run. At the end of the sampling period, the cassette will be oriented up, and the pump will be
turned off. The sample cassette cap will be replaced. The post-test flow rate will be recorded.
The sample volume calculated from the average flow rate and number of minutes of pump
operation will be submitted to the laboratory and identified on the chain of custody (COC) for
each sample (zero flow for field and trip blanks).
i .
Sjose-N.1Usars Pha&6Vbrwa d LandfiiAkbeslos Mondomq Asbasbs Plan nnal Draft sy.dx 3_2
9.6.05
