Disposal Of Purge Water
Only very low levels of either metallic or organic contaminants have been detected in some of
the wells downgradient of WMU A. Because these levels are very-low, there is not sueient
-reason to containerize the purge water. Should the analytical results indicate a need to
containcrize, the fallowing procedure will be used:
Sample purge water gcmerated during well-purging, and excess water generated during
sampling, will be placed in a trailer mounted tank attached to.the satmpling v, cle.
Chi
• When the tank is hl*L,thc groundwater will be pumped, from the tank to an onsite leachate
evaporation pond. After the groundwater sampling ro lmd is completed the tank will be
filled with approximately 100 gallows of water from the water truck fill station_ This
water will then be recirculated in the tank and pump to arose the system.. The+ruse water
will then be discharged to the Ieachate.cvaporation pond_
Domestic Wecll
The domestic well sampled (DW-960) contains.a-subme siblepump with-an in-line premie
tank and switch to activate the pomp once- pressum- cops below a certain values. the sample i
point for-DW-9690 was-a spigot directly, attached to the pressure tank..
