i
I,
.0 Sampling Locations and Frequencies
Four representative sites within the landfill fenceline will be sampled in this study. See
Appendix B for a figure showing the asbestos sampler locations.
Consistent with generally accepted practice for ambient air monitoring site selection, the sampler
will be placed at a location that meets the following requirements to the maximum extent
possible:
I
The terrain wilt be level and will have no major obstructions (vegetation or other
physical obstructions).
I
• The sampler inlet will be at a breathing level of approximately 2 meters above ground
level and will face vertically downward.
i
A duplicate set of integrated air sampling equipment will be co-located at one of the sites
downwind of the active work areas. The duplicate sampling equipment will be located within 2
to 4 meters of the co-located equipment.
Upon completion of the sampling event and sample analysis, Shaw will tabulate the field data
and prepare a report to be submitted to the local enforcement agency (LEA). The report will
include the field data and laboratory analytical data used to determine the asbestos baseline level
1
and the sampling results. i
j
i
9.6- 4-1
