The first quarter 2008 concentration of sulfate at AMW-5R (65 mg/L) is comparable to
concentrations observed at AMW-5 consistently since July 2001, and is well below the National
Secondary Drinking Water Standard (250 mg/L). The first quarter 2008 concentration of sulfate
at AMW-10 (76 mg/L) is comparable to concentrations observed at that well since November
2006, and is well below the National Secondary Drinking Water Standard (250 mg/L). The first
quarter 2008 concentration of TDS at AMW-5R (810 mg/L) is greater than concentrations
previously observed at AMW-5. The first quarter 2008 field turbidity value at AMW-10 (783
NTUs) is greater than field turbidity values previously observed at that well. The first quarter
2008 field turbidity value at AMW-19 (>999 NTUs) is consistent with the field turbidity
observed at that well during the past five monitoring events.
Sen's Slope analysis identified decreasing trends in the following inorganic parameters: arsenic at
AMW-18, barium at AMW-4, bicarbonate at AMW-4, calcium at AMW-4, AMW-10, and
AMW-11, carbonate at AMW-18, chloride at AMW-4, AMW-11, and AMW-18, magnesium at
AMW-4, AMW-10, and AMW-11, nitrate at AMW-1, AMW-10, and AMW-18, field pH at
AMW-1, potassium at AMW-4 and AMW-10, sodium at AMW-18 and AMW-19, strontium at
AMW-4, AMW-10 and AMW-11, field specific conductance at AMW-11, sulfate at AMW-1,
AMW-18,and AMW-19,TDS at AMW-4 and AMW-11,and field turbidity at AMW-4.
The field pH value observed at AMW-1 during the first quarter 2008 (6.73 s.u.) is comparable to
pH values observed at that well intermittently since August 1997, and is within the National
Secondary Drinking Water Standard range(6.5 - 8.5 s.u.).
The following organic parameters exhibited an increasing trend according to the Sen's Slope
analysis: 1,1-dichloroethane at AMW-1, cis-1,2-dichloroethene at AMW-1, and tetrachloroethene
at AAM-19.
The first quarter 2008 concentration of 1,1-dichloroethane at AMW-1 (3 ug/L) is comparable to
concentrations observed at that well intermittently since April 1995. The first quarter 2008
concentration of cis-1,2-dichloroethene at AMW-1 (1.5 ug/L) is comparable to concentrations
observed at that well intermittently since October 2001. The concentration of cis-1,2-
dichloroethene at both AMW-1 is below the National Primary Drinking Water Standard (70
ug/L). The first quarter 2008 concentration of tetrachloroethene at AMW-19 (1.7 ug/L) is lower
than the concentrations observed during the previous five monitoring events at that well, and is
below the National Primary Drinking Water Standard(5 ug/L).
Sen's Slope analysis identified decreasing trends in the following organic parameters: 1,1-
dichlorochloroethane at AMW-10, cis-1,2-dichloroethene at AMW-11, dichlorodifluoromethane
at AMW-10 and AMW-11,tetrachloroethene at AMW-11,and trichloroethene at AMW-11.
5
