This analytical report must be reproduced in its entirety.
Dear Mr. Higgins:
Two water samples and a trip blank for project"367254.01.01.01 Forward Landfill GTF
Annual 2008" were received November 6, 2008, in good condition. Written results are
being provided on this November 26,2008, for the requested analyses. All holding times
were met.
For the EPA 8260B analysis, the samples were purged according to EPA method 5030B.
In the 081117AH lab control spike, trans-1,4-Dichloro-2-butene recovered above the
130% upper control limit at 132%. In the 081119AM LCS, 1,2-Dibromo-3-chloropropane
recovered above the 130% limit at 160%. Neither compound was detected in the
associated samples, and all other spike recoveries were acceptable.
For the EPA 6010B analysis, the sample was filtered in the laboratory then digested
according to EPA method 3010A. Three metals were detected in the preparation blank at
concentrations greater than one-half the reporting limit: antimony, calcium, and copper.
Antimony was not detected to the sample;calcium detection was greater than ten times
the level in the blank; and copper is flagged with a`B". In the matrix spike, calcium
recovered below the 80% lower control limit at 74.4% in the MSD. All other spike
recoveries were acceptable.
For the EPA 7470A analysis, the sample was filtered in the laboratory then digested and
analyzed according to the method.
No other unusual problems or complications were encountered with this sample set.
If you have any questions or require further information, please contact us at your
convenience.
