removed approximately 2.59 pounds of VOCs. Due to poor recharge and backpressure
from the GTF, extraction well EW-3 was taken off-line and connected to a 1,500 gallon
poly tank. Del-Tech manually transfers groundwater from the poly tank to the GTF, as
needed. In August 2009, Forward Landfill Inc. completed construction of extraction well
EW-313 to replace extraction well EW-3. Del-Tech is currently working to bring
extraction well EW-3B online during the fourth quarter 2009.
Influent and Effluent Monitoring—During the monitoring period, effluent samples were
collected monthly from the GTF and submitted for analysis of VOCs by EPA Method
826013, the July 15, 2009 effluent sample was also analyzed for TDS. Table 1,
summarizes the field and analytical results for the GTF during the third quarter 2009
monitoring period. As shown on Table 1,no VOCs were detected in any of the effluent
samples collected during the monitoring period, and it is concluded that the treatment
system is functioning properly.
GLA hopes that the information provided herein is sufficient for your records.
