See the message below. It is good news. What we would like to see is,for Michael to complete and send your
inspection report that speaks to the correction of the violation, and for Kevin then,to quickly review and accept the
report into the SWIS database. As soon as that is done,we will complete the work to remove the facility from the
Inventory. Any questions, let me know.
Thank you all.
From: Poulson, Zane
Sent: Wednesday, January 26, 20113:49 PM
To: Gebrehawariat,Tadese
Subject: FW: Forward Inventory Status 39-AA-0015
FYI
From: Walker, Scott
Sent: Wednesday, January 26, 20113:28 PM
To: Turner, Georgianne; Hackett, Jeff; Poulson, Zane
Cc: Yekta, Gino; Wochnick, Michael; Van Kekerix, Lorraine; Rauh,Ted; Taylor, Kevin
Subject: Forward Inventory Status 39-AA-0015
Gino and I met with the LEA(Robert McClellon and staff) and operator of Forward Landfill today and conducted
confirmation monitoring on the gas probes.
The LEA confirmed that the facility achieved compliance with 27 CCR 20921 (Gas Monitoring and Control)for the
December inspection period. Gino and I confirmed today that all three (shallow, intermediate and deep) probes in
the prior impacted well GP-11 are at<0.1% methane and in compliance. We also monitored the nearby well GP-10
at the request of the LEA. Results for all three probes in GP-10 also confirmed<0.1%methane.
Therefore, it is appropriate to now remove this facility from the Inventory. The LEA concurred with our transmitting
of this request to you.
Scott Walker, PE, CEG, Manager,
Engineering Support Branch
California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery(CalRecycle)
1001 /Street
Sacramento, CA 95814
(916)341-6319
(916)956-8568(cell)
Scott.Walker@ CalRecycle.ca.gov
3/9/2011
