MILJANICH <br />Attorney <br />miljanich@smwlaw.com <br />Re: Waste Discharge Requirements for Forward Landfill <br />Dear Mr. Atkinson: <br />On behalf of Clean San Joaquin, we submit these additional comments <br />regarding the proposed Waste Discharge Requirements Tentative Order for Forward <br />Landfill ("WDRs"), and request that the Regional Water Quality Control Board <br />incorporate additional measures into the WDRs and the Monitoring and Reporting <br />Program ("MRP") for the Forward Landfill. <br />Clean San Joaquin's members greatly appreciate the Water Board's January <br />6, 2014 response to its December 23, 2013 comment letter. The revisions that the Water <br />Board has agreed to incorporate into the WDRs are important steps toward protecting San <br />Joaquin County's water resources and the environment surrounding Forward Landfill. <br />But Forward Landfill's cannery waste operations still present significant concerns. Clean <br />San Joaquin respectfully requests that the Water Board make additional revisions to the <br />WDRs and MRP. Clean San Joaquin also objects to four revisions made by the Water <br />Board in response to Forward's comments. <br />I.
