Austin Road, California, to include the reception of cannery rinse
water and cannery waste, the use of falconry for bird control, the use of shredded tire for traction
control in wet weather operation, the Preliminary Closure/Post-Closure Maintenance Plan
Amendment No.4, and the new gas monitoring and extraction system.
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) reviewed the proposed
amendment in accordance with Title 27, Section 21665 of California Code of Regulation and
determined that the changes are consistent with the state minimum standard and CEQA. The
EHD also reviewed and found the changes do not conflict with the terms and conditions of the
existing Solid Waste Facility Permit (SWFP).
Therefore, the EHD approves and files the amendment to the JTD without revising the SWFP.
If you have any question, or need additional information, please contact Michael Kith, Lead
Senior REHS, at 209-468-3444.
Sincerely,
Robert McClellon, REHS
Program Coordinator
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
Enclosure
Cc Kevin Basso, Forward Inc.
Todd Del Frate, California Regional Water Quality Control Board
