The Forward Landfill is a permitted solid waste disposal facility, located at 9999 S. Austin Road, Manteca,
California. On August 8, 2014, the LEA received from Forward Inc. a SWFP application package to amend the
JTD to include the reception of cannery rinse water and cannery waste, the use of falconry for bird control, the
use of shredded tire for traction control in wet weather operation, the Preliminary Closure/Post-Closure
Maintenance Pian Amendment No. 4, and the new gas monitoring and extraction system. The application was
accepted as complete on August 22, 2014. No other change to SWFP is under consideration at this time.
The LEA finds that the proposed changes are consistent with all applicable certified and/or adopted CEQA
documents, are consistent with State Minimum Standards, and do not conflict with the terms and conditions of
the current SWFP. The LEA approved the amendment on August 22, 2014.
Where a copy of the application can be reviewed:
A copy of the approved application for the JTD amendment is available for public review by appointment in the
LEA office located at 1868 E. Hazelton Avenue, Stockton, Ca 95205.
LEA Contact information:
If you have any questions after reviewing the above information or would like to schedule an appointment to
review the JTD amendment, please contact Robert McClellon at (209) 468-0332. You may also email the LEA
regarding this matter to rmcclellon(crLsjcehd.com.
Appeals process information:
For information on the appeals process to challenge the LEA's approval of the JTD amendment, you may
contact Robert McClellon at (209) 468-0332.
