For each alternative, public and other commercial
(nonfranchised) haulers have a choice of destinations for
disposal as tabulated below:
A.1 California Waste Removal Systems transfer station or
new Harney Lane Landfill
A.2 California Waste Removal Systems transfer station,
new Harney Lane Landfill, or proposed Eight Mile Road
transfer station
C.1 California Waste Removal Systems transfer station or
Foothill Landfill
C.2 California Waste Removal Systems transfer station,
Foothill landfill, or proposed Eight Mile Road
transfer station
D.1 California Waste Removal Systems transfer station or
proposed central county landfill
D.2 California Waste Removal Systems transfer station,
proposed central county landfill, or proposed Eight
Mile Road transfer station
For purposes of this study, public and other commercial
haulers are asssumed to haul to the nearest facility (transfer
station or landfill) in terms of mileage shown in Table 5.
Where two or more facilities were equally distant, the trips
and costs are divided equally among the destinations. This
assumption further implies that fees or charges at all
facilities are the same. For example, for zip code 95202
(Stockton), destinations would be as follows:
A.1 and C.1 California Waste Removal Systems transfer
station
A.2 and C.2 Proposed Eight Mile Road transfer station
D.1 Proposed central county landfill
D.2 Proposed central county landfill and
proposed Eight Mile Road transfer station
IN
