Summary of Recommendations (Con't ) <br /> Sacramento County and Stanislaus County--our abutting <br /> counties--presently have fee schedules which have been extremely <br /> successful and totally self-supporting. The fees charged pay <br /> true total cost which includes administration, equipment <br /> replacement , new landfill site replacements, etc . <br /> 7 . That the County immediately acquire by purchase or <br /> lease a. new dozer to replace the D-7 presently in use at the <br /> landfill site . The financing for the new equipment to be by the <br /> City of Lodi and County on the ratio as specified in Board <br /> Resolution B-72-2099 . <br /> 8 . During the interim of continued operations by the City <br /> of Lodi., the City should continue to utilize private contractors <br /> for trenching operations. Upon takeover of operations by County , <br /> a new self-loading scraper would be acquired. <br /> 9 . Should daily covering of refuse be mandated before <br /> takeover by County, the self-loading scraper should be immediately <br /> acquired. <br /> 10. That the City of Lodi cooperate and support in every <br /> manner possible in the legal and community considerations for the <br /> acquisition of a replacement for the Harney Lane site . <br /> 11. Upon acquisition of the new site, site development be <br /> immediately undertaken including planting of trees , shrubbery and <br /> appropriate signing along County roads for environmental <br /> improvement . <br /> 12 . Excess acreage of new site not needed immediately for <br /> landfill operations be leased for appropriate agricultural use <br /> 38 - <br />
