Another fire extinguisher, in the northeast corner of the Recycling Center <br />building, is empty. The Joint Technical Document for this facility specifies that the fire extinguishers <br />are serviced every year by a contractor. <br />a. Service all fire extinguishers every 12 months. <br />b. Replace empty fire extinguishers with full cylinders as soon as possible. <br />I5. Area of Concern - T27 CCR 21600 - The two first aid kits located in the Recycling Center building are dirty on <br />the inside of the kits and contain expired solutions. <br />Replace the first aid kits with new clean kits which have fresh solutions and bandages. <br />16. Area of Concern - T27 CCR 20680 - The tarps being used as ADC did not cover the entire working face. <br />At the end of the operating day, cover the entire working face with tarps or six inches of compacted <br />earthen material. Tarps can be used to cover solid waste for a maximum of 24 hours. <br />Area of Concern - T27 CCR 20700 - Cracks in the intermediate cover of module 1 (northeast corner) are venting gas <br />which has a strong old garbage odor. <br />Repair all cracks in the intermediate cover. Repair work was in progress during the inspection. <br />8. Area of Concern - T27 CCR 20760 - A strong LFG odor was noticed near gas extraction well SX -1. The extraction <br />system tubing may have a leak. <br />Eliminate the strong LFG odor. <br />9. Violation - T27 CCR 20919.5 - The concentration of methane in SG -5 was 17% by volume. <br />a. Ensure that the concentration of explosive gas at the property boundary is below 5% by volume. <br />b. Follow directions listed in T27 CCR 20919.5(c). <br />INSPECTOR SIGNATURE: = DATE: <br />
