6.0 PROJECTION OF HAZARDOUS WASTE GENERATION <br /> IN THE COUNTY TO THE YEAR 2000 <br /> Approximately 20,482 tons of hazardous waste are projected to be <br /> generated in County in the year 2000 (Table 6-6) Included in the <br /> following sections are projections for hazardous wastes generated by <br /> industries and households. In addition, projections for cleanup <br /> wastes and new hazardous wastes are tabulated. Finally, projections <br /> assuming implementation of waste minimization are presented. <br /> 6.1 PROJECTION OF HAZARDOUS WASTES PRODUCED BY MAJOR GENERATORS <br /> The projected volume of waste to be produced by the major industrial <br /> '_ and commercial generators in the year 2000 was estimated by <br /> multiplying the volumes listed in Table 5-12 by economic growth <br /> factors for industry groups.
