• Zinc
• Phenols
• Alkalinity
• Electrical conductivity
• Total Kjeldahl nitrogen
• 27 ICAP metals
Based on the results of the baseline monitoring program and until such time as
waste acceptance is initiated at the site, the following routine annual sampling
and analytical program is anticipated for Wells G-1, G-2, and G-3:
• pH 4 Chloride
• Electrical
conductivity • Nitrate
• Chemical oxygen demand . Color
• Total Kjeldahl nitrogen . Odor
• Total dissolved solids • Cadmium
• Volatile organic compounds • Chromium, total
using EPA Method 624
• Calcium • Copper
• Magnesium • Lead
• Sodium • Mercury
Sulfate • Selenium
• MBAs (foaming agents) • Silver
• Arsenic • Fluoride
• Barium • Zinc
Samples will be taken using a dedicated pump installed in each monitoring well.
A minimum of three casing volumes will be purged from each well prior to sam-
pling. During purging, pH, electrical conductivity and water temperature will be
recorded,
and samples will not be collected until these parameters have stabi-
lized. Sample bottles, bottle caps, and septa used in sampling any volatile or-
ganics will be thoroughly washed with detergent, rinsed extensively with tap wa-
ter, and then rinsed again with high purity deionized water. The samples will be
placed in the appropriate EPA -approved containers and transported on ice to the
laboratory with chain -of -custody documentation.
