C. South County Area: <br />1. Corral Hollow sanitary Landfill: <br />The only facility serving the South County Area <br />is the Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill. It is a Class <br />III landfill that is located approximately 5 miles <br />south of Tracy along Highway 580. The facility has <br />been in operation since the late 19501s. Until <br />recently it was owned jointly by the County and the <br />City of Tracy, and operated by the City of Tracy with <br />engineering assistance from the County. Operations <br />and ownership were acquired by the County on July 1, <br />1990. <br />a. Identification of Owner/Operator: <br />The Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill is <br />owned and operated by San Joaquin County. <br />b. Quantity and Types of Solid WasteDisposed: <br />Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill receives <br />approximately 1,000 cubic yards of residential, <br />commercial and industrial solid waste per day <br />from the City of Tracy and the surrounding <br />county unincorporated area. <br />c. Permitted Site Acreage: <br />The landfill's permitted area is 45 acres. <br />d.
