Unless otherwise indicated, valves IV2 inches and smaller shall be <br />1,000 lb. rated with a 316 SS ball and trim and Teflon or Viton seat. <br />Valves shall be Apollo Series 7C-100 , Jamesbury, or approved equal. <br />B. Unless otherwise indicated, valves 2 inches and larger shall be 150 lb. <br />raised face flanged with a 316 SS ball and trim and Teflon seats. Valves <br />shall be Apollo Series 88-100, Jamesbury, or approved equal. <br />C. Ball valves in condensate or LFG service shall have stainless steel bodies. <br />D. Compressed air and propane valves may have carbon steel or stainless <br />steel bodies. <br />2.03 SAMPLE VALVES <br />A. Sample valves shall be stainless steel ball valves or ACCO model Hl or <br />Model H5 stainless steel needle valves with Teflon seat and Viton Packing. <br />A stainless steel hose barb shall be installed in the outlet end of the valve for <br />sampling. <br />B. The inside diameter of HDPE pipe may be smaller than the diameter of the <br />disk on a butterfly valve. If the size of the disk interferes with the inside <br />diameter of the pipe, the Contractor shall either remove by machining excess <br />material from the ID of the HDPE flange adapter, or use HDPE flange <br />adapters with a thickness that will allow the valve disk to clear the pipe <br />provided the required pressure rating of the pipe is maintained. <br />North County LFG Collection System 2 FLARE STATION VALVES <br />San Joaquin County Public Works Section 11554 <br />2.04 GAUGE VALVES <br />A. Gauge valves shall be stainless steel ball valves or AGCO Model M5A, <br />stainless steel needle valves with Teflon seat and packing and shall include <br />an AGCO Model V6 bleeder valve with Teflon seat and packing. <br />2.05 BOLTING <br />A. Bolting for valves shall be zinc plated A325. <br />PART 3 EXECUTION <br />3.01 INSTALLATION <br />A. When possible butterfly valves shall be installed so that the disk rotates on <br />the horizontal axis. <br />B.
