C L 0 0 u L C C r - h H. No pipe installation will be accepted unless and until it meets the pressure test requirements. I. Costs associated with the testing of the pipe shall be included in the bid price. No separate payment will be made. J. The following items shall be removed from the pipe, or isolated from the pressure during the pressure test: 1. Flex Hoses 2. Controls, instruments or equipment that would be damaged as a result of the pressure test. K. The Engineer or his designated representative shall witness all pressure testing and repair work that may be required. The Contractor shall give two business days notice prior to testing. 3.02 TESTING PE PIPE WELDS A. One PE joint may be selected daily at random by the Engineer and cut from the piping to test its integrity. The Contractor shall cut the weld from the pipe as directed by the Engineer and reweld the pipe. B. Testing shall be performed according to Plexco's "Qualification Procedures for PE 3408 Extra High Molecular Weight High Density Polyethylene" Bulletin No. 105Y or 106. Testing shall be performed by the Contractor. C. If the joint fails to pass inspection, the Contractor shall reweld and retest the joint until the weld passes. A minimum of 10 percent of the previously welded joints done during that day will be randomly cut from the pipe and inspected and tested. If these joints pass inspection and testing, then welding can proceed. The Contractor shall reweld and retest the joint until the weld passes. D. If any of the 10 percent fail, The Contractor shall remove all weld joints made during that day from the pipe and reweld them. These welds are also subject to the above procedure. E. No additional time or payment shall be given to the Contractor for weld tests and weld replacement.
