Three (3) preliminary copies of each manual, temporarily bound in heavy <br />paper covers bearing suitable identification, shall be submitted to the <br />Engineer prior to the date of shipment of the equipment. After review and <br />acceptance by the Engineer, five (5) final copies of each operation and <br />maintenance manual shall be prepared and delivered to the Engineer not <br />later than thirty (30) days prior to placing the equipment in operation. <br />Final manuals and all parts lists and information shall be assembled in <br />substantial, permanent 3 -hole punch D -ring binders. As much as possible, <br />material shall be assembled and bound in the same order as specified, and <br />each volume shall have a table of contents and suitable index tabs. <br />F. Materials shall be marked with Project identification and location within <br />the project, and inapplicable information shall be marked out or deleted. <br />Sales literature shall not be substituted for O&M manuals. <br />G. Shipment of equipment will not be considered complete until all required <br />manuals and data have been received. <br />H. Each item in the O&M manual must also identify the model number of the <br />item supplied and either its P&ID name or its location. <br />PART 2 MATERIALS <br />A. A complete and accurate set of red -line drawings shall be signed and dated <br />by the Contractor and shall be labeled with the following, "These red -line <br />drawings completely and truly represent the contract work as installed." <br />B. Accurate red -line drawings shall be kept in the construction bin or other <br />protected on-site area at all times and shall be submitted to the County at <br />the end of the project. <br />C.
