Gebremichael <br />Subject: NCRC&SL - GARBAGE FIRE IN RECYCLING CENTER <br />Importance: High <br />Good morning Natalia, <br />M <br />Today (July 4th) @ about 1:30 a.m. we had a garbage fire inside the Recycling Center at <br />the NCRC&SL. The Linden Peters Rural Fire District and the Mokelumne Fire District <br />responded and extinguished the fire around 2:30 a.m. The fire caused the fire sprinklers <br />to engage and this triggered a fire alarm. Alamo Alarm contacted Marcus Davenport, <br />Solid Waste Site Manager, and he responded to the scene. Mr. Davenport contacted <br />Mike Arboco, Transfer Truck Driver, to assist in the moving of burned refuse inside the <br />building. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and, with the exception of an <br />overhead light, there was no property damage. Mr. Davenport and Mr. Arboco secured <br />the building and left the site at about 4:30 a.m. <br />The incident will be logged in the site's Special Occurrence Log and it will be discussed <br />with all employees at the next Safety Meeting. <br />If you have any questions, please let me know. <br />Thank you. <br />Jaime L.
