The DEIR references a limited seismic slope-stability study conducted by Shaw Environmental,Inc.The study indicates,«the potential for permanent displacement of 311 the landfill slopes,during the MPE ground motions,sloes not exist."The study goes on to explain, It should be noted that the conceptual slope stability analyses performed address only the global slope stability of the loniPll,The stability of ituorim waste slopes within tine future modules should be addressed during the engineering designfor the vertle4l expansion. er r the seismic-analysis should be based on at updated seismle hazard report. a, Why wasn't the detailed seismic report that is recommended by this limited slope stability study completed as part ofthe overall analysis of the DEIR? b. The proposed changes include the change In final elevation from 19S ft.above MSL to 424 ft.above M$L.The DEIR needs to diseuss the onsite roads and traffic.The elevation difference of 225 ff.will require that the roads be designed to facilitate vehicle traffic all 3-12 year around.The roads must be designed to allow access to all types of vehicles that are planned to access the working face.The drainage and erosion system should be designed in concert with the planned site roads., The EUD has reviewed the DTIR and cannot support the project as proposed at this time.'
