MANAGEMENJ <br />li 2 WASTE CLASSIFICATION AND <br />2.1 WASTE TYPES ACCEPTED <br />As a Class III landfill, the NCRC&SL accepts mixed municipal solid waste, commercial and <br />household waste, construction/demolition waste, and agricultural waste. Waste Discharge <br />Requirements adopted January 2010 allow the disposal of treated wood waste. <br />Unacceptable wastes include septic tank waste, toxic materials, five -gallon (or larger) drums, <br />infectious waste, liquid waste, cannery waste, hazardous waste, large loads of soil or gravel, <br />trailers, burned waste and Designated Waste <br />2.1.1 Disposed Wastes <br />The County disposes mixed municipal, commercial, and household waste, as well as <br />demolition/construction materials. The County also intends to evaluate for the disposal of <br />dewatered wastewater treatment sludge in the future; however, this JTD is not intended to fulfill <br />the requirements to allow this permit change, but the County may submit a formal application to <br />the LEA for this activity as required by Title 27 at a later time.
