December 8, 1994
Hari Sharma
Emcon Associates
1921 Ringwood Ave
San Jose, CA 95131-1721
Dear Hari:
I've enclosed a draft report for the seismic hazard at the North County site. As
requested, I've considered the maximum probable earthquake consistent with CDMG
Note 43. The NTE for this is a low (0.06 g) because it is located in an area of low
seismicity.
For your information, if you were to follow the subtitle D regulations, the peak
horizontal acceleration would be about 0.258 based on the Algermissen et al. (1991)
map. Please call if you have any questions or comments.
Best Regards,
Norm Abrahamson
