0 <br />9 PRELIMINARY CLOSURE AND POSTCLOSURE MAINTENANCE PLAN <br />.7 <br />9.1 PRELIMINARY CLOSURE AND POSTCLOSURE MAINTENANCE PLAN <br />An updated preliminary closure and postclosure maintenance plan reflects the present landfill <br />design, including fill height to an elevation 320 feet MSL (Appendix B). <br />9.2 FINANCIAL ASSURANCE <br />Financial assurance for closure is demonstrated by the maintenance of a Closure Enterprise <br />Fund. As of September 2013, the North County Landfill component of that fund contained <br />$1.8 million (Appendix H). <br />Financial assurance for postclosure maintenance is demonstrated by a Pledge of Future <br />Revenue. <br />Financial assurance for operating liability is provided self-insurance. <br />Financial assurance for corrective action (water release) is provided by a Pledge of Future <br />Revenue. <br />Financial assurance for non -water release corrective action is provided by Pledge of Future <br />Revenue for water release corrective action, the cost of which exceeds that of the non -water <br />release corrective action. <br />San Joaquin County submits a letter to the regulatory agencies on a yearly basis.
