This Order contains Monitoring and
Reporting Program No. 89-046, which prescribes the monitoring requirements for
the landfill . The April monitoring report sent to us references Monitoring and
Reporting Program No. 76-155, which was rescinded by Order No. 89-046. The
April monitoring report also lists Corral Hollow Landfill as a Class 11-2 site,
instead of using the current Class III landfill designation. The reports have
been addressed to Dave Brent, who is no longer regulating the site. Please
address future monitoring reports to me. Please rote these changes on the next
monitoring report.
Monitoring and Reporting Program No. 8 ®046 requires monthly monitoring of
nonhazardous solid waste for the quantity discharged, type of material
discharged, sources of material discharged, and minimum elevation of discharge.
This data is to be reported to the Board on a quarterly basis, with the capacity
remaining in the landfill reported annually. Ground and surface water must be
sampled and analyzed for the listed constituents at the indicated frequencies.
The next quarterly report for the months of Apr i I , May and June is due by 15 July
1480. A copy of that letter is enclosed. We still have not received a
response to our inquiry about the possible discharge of sludge to the Corra l
Hollow Landfill . Does the City still intend to propose this discharge, and if
so, will you be handling the proposal? If you have any questions regarding the
determination of a designated waste, please call us and we can discuss it
further.
1
