Procedures and techniques for sample collec-
tion, analytical procedures, and chain -of -custody control are present-
ed. These procedures are recommended so that (1) consistent and
reproducible methods are used to obtain samples from soil borings and
monitoring wells and (2) proper analyses are performed on the samples.
The sampling and analysis procedures are in accordance with Title 23,
Subchapter 15, Sections 2500 through 2601 of the California Adminis-
trative Code. The procedures described in this appendix are based on
,01 T - YII 11 1P I 1.
1M., 11411RIMA
Test Methods for Evaluating Solid Waste: PhvsicA1
Control Methods (EPA SW -846, 3rd edition, November 19861
N- I — 1 4.1 •u :1•. 1 N_t s. .is
Qwtqmqm
SOIL SAMPLING AND ANALYSIS PROCEDURES
Wells MW -4 and MW -5 and Borings SB -1, SB -2, and SB -3, (additional soil
borings recommended by the RWQCB, letter of March 9, 1988) will be
drilled using 8 -inch -diameter, continuous -flight, hollow -stem auger
drilling equipment.
