A specialist in <br />the characterization of ground -water and contaminant movement, <br />Mr. Isham has been involved in ground -water studies throughout the <br />United States, in the Middle East, Far East, South Pacific, South <br />America, and in Africa. <br />As a Project Manager in EMCON's Geological Services Division, <br />Mr. Isham is responsible for the development of hazardous waste site <br />studies and remedial -action programs for industrial facilities and <br />sanitary landfills. His work includes designing exploratory programs <br />to define hydrogeologic and geochemical conditions, assessing the <br />impacts of contaminants on the beneficial use of ground -water resourc- <br />es, and designing and implementing remedial -action schemes. Mr. Isham <br />also is responsible for maintaining client/regulatory liaison, provid- <br />ing operation guidance to industrial and sanitary landfill managers, <br />and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. <br />Prior to joining EMCON, Mr. Isham was responsible for conducting <br />hydrogeologic and geotechnical studies related to the design and con- <br />struction of power plants, refineries, chemical and mining facilities, <br />and nuclear waste repositories for one of the world's largest engi- <br />neering firms. In addition, Mr. Isham was responsible for conducting <br />ground -water resource development and ground -water contamination <br />remediation studies. <br />• Investigation of inorganic and heavy metal ground -water <br />contamination at an industrial facility in Modesto, Cali- <br />fornia. <br />cmrnn <br />
