The area in which the project is located, north-east Tracy, is in general
devoid of prime agricultural soils. The project area is characterized
by the presence of Rincon Clay Loam Soils and Capay Clay soils.
Permeability of the Capay soils is slow, and available water capacity
is high. This soil type also has a high, shrink-swell capacity.
B. Environmental Impacts
Will the proposal result in: Yes Maybe No
1. Unstable earth conditions or
in changes in geologic
substructures? X
2. Disruptions, displacements,
compaction or over-covering
of the soil? X
3. Change in topography or
ground surface relief
features? X
4. The destruction, covering or
modification of any unique
geologic or physical features? X
5. Any increase in wind or water
erosion of soils, either on or
off the site? X
6. Changes in deposition or
erosion of beach sands, or
changes in sedimentation,
deposition or erosion which
may modify the channel of a
river or stream or the bed of
the ocean or any bay, inlet or
lake? X
7. Exposure of people or property
to geologic hazards such as
earthquakes, landslides,
mudslides, ground failure, or
similar hazards? X
18
