So we will be abandoning those wells per our original Eval Monit Plan. Right now the wells have 10
feet of sand at the bottom, being drilled to between 76 and 91 feet deep.
Well ID
Total Depth
(ft)
Screen
Interval
First Groundwater
(ft)
Static
Groundwater (ft)
Groundwater
Elevation (ft amsl)
MW -9
91.5
70-90
88.6
66.4
230.52
MW -10
76.5
65-75
75
66.7
219.63
MW -11
76.5
64.5-74.5
69.5
67.2
216.07
The drill rig is available between Dec 19 and 23, but they got stuck last time due to soft soil in early October, and
it may be much softer in Dec. We may not be able to get in with a drill rig then.
To close up those wells as soon as possible, we could remove the V casing and pour in neat cement, leaving the
sand in place. This could be done w/o a drill rig and in the next week or two.
Let me know what you think. I will tell the RWQCB our schedule based on this.
Regards,
â–ºfTiWE
W.
