These actions are necessary to comply with Waste Discharge <br /> .Requirements,("WDRs ).Order 5-01-176 and with the regulatory requirements of <br /> Title 27 of the California Cade of Regulations ("Title 27"). <br /> The Executive Officer finds: <br /> Background <br /> 1. The Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill is a closed Class III municipal solid waste landfill in <br /> San Joaquin County, It is operated and maintained by the San Joaquin County <br /> Department of Public Works (the "County"). The nearest surface water is Corral Hollow <br /> Creek, which is adjacent to the southeastern boundary of the landfill. The landfill site is <br /> near the junction of Corral Hollow Road and Interstate 580, approximately five miles south <br /> of Tracy (hereafter referred to as the "Site"). <br /> 2. The Site consists of 57.71 acres, of which 42.79 were permitted for landfilling. The landfill <br /> consists of a single, closed landfill with four unlined waste management units ("WMUs"). <br />
