SECTION 02200 <br />PART 1- GENERAL <br />1.01 SUMMARY <br />A. Section includes clearing, grubbing and stripping the borrow and work areas as <br />needed and site earthwork for: <br />1. Excavations <br />2. Subgrade Preparation Layer <br />3. Disposal of Excess/Unsuitable Excavated Materials <br />4. Furnishing and Placing Fill Materials Obtained from Contractor's Sources <br />B. Existing Site Conditions <br />1. High Pressure Petroleum Pipeline <br />A high pressure petroleum pipeline, owned by Shell Oil, s across the landfill <br />about 16 feet offset from the northeastern fence line of the landfill. Site earthwork <br />activities will occur over the high pressure pipeline; thus, the Contractor is advised <br />to take extreme caution. Before any site earthwork activity, the Contractor and the <br />County shall both call for Underground Service Alert (USA). During earthwork <br />activities, a representative of Shell Pipeline must be present. The Contractor shall <br />�. coordinate all site earthwork with the Shell Oil pipeline representative and follow <br />Shell Oil specifications regarding work near the pipline.
