MW-10A (Newly-installed,Impacted):
This is the first quarter MW-10A was monitored. Concentrations of all parameters were within
established concentration limits where the limits could be determined (Table 1). One primary
MCL for Nitrate as Nitrogen was slightly exceeded in MW-9A this quarter. Secondary MCL for
TDS was also exceeded in MW-l0A this quarter.
Three VOCs were reported this quarter, two above"trace" concentration(Table 1).
All VOCs detected in this well are among the VOCs found in MW-5 and MW-8, generally at
lower concentrations. It is our opinion that MW-5 is closer to the source of the VOCs and thus
has more VOCs.
Data is not sufficient to establish a trend in this well.
MW-11A (Newly-Installed,Impacted):
This is the first quarter MW-11A was monitored. Concentrations of all parameters were within
established concentration limits where the limits could be determined(Table 1). No primary
MCLS were exceeded in MW-11A this quarter. Secondary MCLs for EC and TDS was also
exceeded in MW-11 A this quarter.
Six VOCs were reported this quarter, one above"trace" concentration(Table 1).
All VOCs detected in this well are among the VOCs found in MW-5 and MW-8, generally at
lower concentrations. It is our opinion that MW-5 is closer to the source of the VOCs and thus
has more VOCs.
Data is not sufficient to establish a trend in this well.
Deep Aquifer
MW-6(Down gradient):
Concentrations of all parameters were within established concentration limits where the limits
could be determined (Table 2). No primary MCLs were exceeded this quarter in MW-6.
Secondary MCLs for EC, TDS, and Sulfate were exceeded in MW-6 this quarter. However, the
EC, TDS and Sulfate levels are consistent with the general historical conditions at this well.
Based on output from the Sanitas statistical software, an increasing trend is reported in the
concentration of Turbidity this quarter(Table 3).
No VOCs were reported at this well this quarter. Other than false positives,no VOCs have been
reported since Toluene was reported in 2005 when the well was first installed. These Toluene
data indicate that this compound was probably introduced by the drilling company when this
Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill 13 Department of Public Works/Solid Waste
2nd Quarter 2012 Groundwater Monitoring County of San Joaquin—July 30,2012
