MW-9A (7Vewly-installed):
This is the second quarter MW-9A was monitored. Concentrations of all parameters were within
established concentration limits where the limits could be determined (Table 1).
No VOCs were reported in MW-9A this quarter(Table 1).
Data is not sufficient to establish a trend in this well.
MW-10A (Newly-installed,Impacted):
This is the second quarter MW-10A was monitored. Concentrations of all parameters were
within established concentration limits where the limits could be determined(Table 1).
Two VOCs were reported this quarter, one above "trace" concentration(Table 1).
All VOCs detected in this well are among the VOCs found in MW-5 and MW-8, generally at
lower concentrations. It is our opinion that MW-5 is closer to the source of the VOCs and thus
has more VOCs.
Data is not sufficient to establish a trend in this well.
MW-IIA (Newly-installed,Impacted):
ARIL
This is the second quarter MWA 1A was monitored. Concentrations of all parameters were
within established concentration limits where the limits could be determined(Table 1).
Three VOCs were reported this quarter, one above "trace" concentration(Table 1).
All VOCs detected in this well are among the VOCs found in MW-5 and MW-8, generally at
lower concentrations. The higher concentration of VOCs at MW-5 indicates that it is closer to
the source of VOCs.
Data is not sufficient to establish a trend in this well.
A PCE concentration contour map, including the extent of the plume ("zero' line), was
developed to help describe the extent of VOC migration from the landfill in the shallow aquifer
that is created by Corcoran Clay Formation(Figure 5). The zero PCE concentration line is based
on the following:
• No PCE detected at MW-9A
• The PCE concentration detected at MW-11 A (0.18 ug/L) is slightly above the laboratory
method detection limit of 0.13 ug/L
• A linear extrapolation of the 1 ug/L contour interval lines between a PCE concentration
of 4.2 ug/L at MW-5 and a PCE concentration of 0.49 ug/L at MW-l0A
•
Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill 12 Department of Public Works/Solid Waste
3'd Quarter 2012 Groundwater Monitoring County of San Joaquin—October 30,2012
